Crazy Concept: The Container Bed

If you live in a small space, chances are you’ve already taught yourself how to be resourceful when it comes to storage. There’s just never enough room! Luckily, as compact living becomes more mainstream, many companies are coming up with a range of innovative storage solutions. One example? This ingenious Container Bed bed by Italian furniture manufacturer Dielle.

Simply put, it’s a bed-meets-walk-in-closet all rolled into one ultra-sleek piece of furniture. How it works: the bed raises up to reveal a spacious closet area underneath, which features a section for hanging garments and a series of shelves for storing everything from clothes to extra sheets.

The manufacturer also built a door into the bed’s base so people can enter the closet without having to raise the bed each time (we imagine this is especially ideal when there’s someone else snoozing above). Another reason to love it? The container bed is being praised for its modular design, which means it will adapt to fit inside most tiny spaces. If you do have a little space to spare, Dielle also offers extra additions like vertical wardrobe cabinets and bookcases, which slide in easily behind the head of the bed.
